Christmas Hayes Get Together 2011

At Mom and Dad's anniversary gathering in February, there was talk about reserving Christ the King church for our Christmas gathering this year instead of American Legion in Kasson.

I have been waiting to hear back about the rental cost and have talked with the office this morning.

Father Paul and the church have agreed to let us use the hall FREE OF CHARGE because of Spencer's deployment and the hardship that our family will be under for the year and especially the holiday season. This is totally above and beyond anything I ever expected from the church. I would like to offer them something...just don't know what. Maybe we can make Thank You cards that day - craft for the kids and adults??? I'm open to other ideas.

We have reserved the hall at Christ the King Catholic Church in Byron on Saturday November 26 from 9:30-4:00.

Menu - do we want to keep with tradition and do Soups and Sandwiches???

that's really awesome that the church is going to do that. The thank you cards are a good idea, or we could maybe do a poster with some photos of the day. And everyone could sign it.
thanks for checking into this and making the arrangements Michelle.

A collection could still be passed for the church - even if it only totals $10. It is very kind of the church. Soup and sandwiches are still fine with me.

I agree that soup and sandwiches are great and a contribution to the church would be okay.
