Sewing Project

Last day of vacation before Erick and I head off to our annual Anime convention for the week so thought it was time to try my hand at those 10 minute table runners.
I am so proud - didn't even have to call mom once.
I guess I just might find that family sewing gene after all.

Another Irish Blessing

A Wish for a Friend

Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through

Signs of Spring

Two pictures are of the tulips coming up....the picture with the red is the early peony we have. We got it years ago from Grandpa Peters, and we have always referred to it as "Grandpa Peters peony". It is really nice seeing some small signs of spring. I am still waiting for the first robin.
And since it is St Patrick's Day.....a little Irish blessing.....
May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night.

Have a great day,
Mary

Happy St. Patrick's Day

A Happy St. Patrick's Day to all. I don't know for sure how much Irish we have, but I remember how dad used to say that we are an Irish Stew, a little bit of everything.

May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile,
for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share,
for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”

Birthdays

Alex had his 14th birthday on the 14th....his golden birthday. Next year he will be old enough to get a drivers permit. You should have seen the look on Shawn's face when I made that comment a couple days ago.
Our baby is no longer a baby. Norrie turned the big 1 today. And as you can see she really enjoys the items that Grandma sews.

Gabby's Visit to VA

Just wanted to let everyone know that Gabby and I are back home now and he had his angiogram, however, the doctors saw no blockages, so there was no need for a stint or bypass surgery. He does still have his irregular heartbeat, and they will schedule an appointment to do a cardio-ablasion soon.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and concerns. Will keep you pasted in the future.

Zach's Hockey Day

Where's Zach? Connor knows, he's over there!!!

Dakota got into the game, even making a sign for Zach. She was a really good cheerleader for her big brother. The signs say "I (heart) Zach".
Zach with his tropy after the game. He really enjoyed the day. It was the Mite Jamorbee in Rochester. Zach (and Logan Bolin) had 2 games and played awesome.

Gabby's Trip to the VA Clinic

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to take a few minutes and let you know what has transpired today regarding Gabby and the testing he had done at the VA Clinic today. Apparently he has a couple of problems - #1 he has irregular heart beats, which you probably already knew from him telling you before, and the second, I can't even pronounce, but the short of the story is that he needs to go back in on Wednesday and have an angiogram and will need to remain in the VA for at least 6 hours before they will let him out and at that time they will decide what to do after that. He may have to have a stint put in. All we can ask you to do is keep him in your prayers over the next few weeks. We will keep in touch. Any questions, just call Gabby and ask him.

Wyoming News

Hello All,

Well not a lot going on out here lately. Bob did FINALLY get his antelope back from the taxidermist a couple of weeks ago. He was supposed to have it back by the middle of December, but that turned into the middle of February. But, I think it was worth it. He did a REALLY good job on the mount. I am attaching some pictures for you.

Also, we just finalized our vacation plans for this summer. We are headed up to Soldotna Alaska on June 7th for a few days of fishing. We are taking two ocean halibut trips and one salmon trip on the Kenai river. We will be flying into Anchorage the very early morning of the 8th and driving down to Soldotna. It is a two to three hour drive along the Alaska coastline. We then are booked at a fishing lodge that sits right on a lake. We decided to take a short trip the first time to check out the lodge and their fishing guides. The lodge has free high speed internet so I am planning on taking my laptop and will be able to download pictures as I take them.

Hope everyone is good and that your snow is melting. We haven't had a lot yet this year...our snowy season starts pretty soon.
