Lacie

Well, we sold the last two puppies over the weekend. They both went to Colorado. One is going to be a goose dog for a teenage boy. (His littlesister really likes the new addition to the family.) And the other one is going to be a pheasant/goose dog for a young boy and his father. His Dad wanted a yellow lab, but the boy really had his heart set on a black one.
I am sending you a couple of pictures of Lacie. With theother puppies gone, Bob can start concentrating on hertraining. She is a ball of fire when it comes toretrieving the dummy. She can even beat her Mom to itsometimes.
I am also sending you a picture of a friend of ours. Hewas camping up around Dubois last week and caught a nicelake trout. He caught one about the same size last year. He is going to have both of them mounted into a coffeetable.
Hope everyone is good.

Hayes Family Christmas get-together

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Legion Hall in Kasson is reserved for Dec 19, 2009, for the Hayes family Christmas get-together. If this is not a good day for you, or you do not like the location please post asap, so other arrangements can be made.
Now would be a good time to start thinking about white elephant items, what to do for the children, and do we want the big red man visiting again.
I personally would like to suggest a soup pot luck like last years. I really like that and would go for it again. And soup is such a good winter food.
PLEASE POST WITH YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS

Vacation

Well, we arrived home late on Monday afternoon, healthy but just a little travel weary. We had a great time at the reunion and were glad that we made the trip. We stopped in Yoder on our way home and picked up the puppies, and then made a detour to Torrington to get them their second puppy shots, and then we headed south to Carpenter. Everyone was happy to finally get home.
Tuesday we got up early and headed back up to Yoder to pickup some friends, and then we headed to Glendo to get somefishing in. We had a pretty good day bringing home 20walleye between the four of us. They ranged in size from one to six pounds. Bob and I each caught a five to six pound walleye. That made the trip worth it!! We did some more fishing on Wednesday afternoon/evening and we didn't get home until three Thursday morning. That sure makes for a long day.
We are headed over to Sidney Nebraska tomorrow to get somefishing supplies from Cabelas. Bob needs to make somemore crawler harnesses, we lost a lot of them in the weedsthis week. It is a lot cheaper to tie your own ratherthan buying them.
I am attaching a couple of pictures of the fish we caughtand some pictures of Glendo. Hope you enjoy them.
