Ollendick Family News

Good Morning,
Ken and I (Ann went with) went to Ottumwa yesterday (Sun) for the visitation for Aunt Butchie. We went early and stopped at the house and had a great visit with Ginger Smith and Duane Ollendick, and Aunt Deanie and Uncle Dave showed up shortly after noon. Aunt Deanie and Uncle Dave are spending the summer in Iowa, near Uncle Dave old homestead place. We saw and visited with lots of cousins at the funeral home. We were told that Aunt Teresa is in an assisted living home and is not doing very well.
Her address is

Teresa Moser phone # 1-608-374-4989
Cranberry Court
1081 Heeler Ave
Tomah, WI 54660

I did talk to Dale (Dale and Barb went down Sun afternoon and will go to the funeral on Mon) Sun night about half the way home and he did tell me that Aunt Dorothy arrived after we left. So maybe Dale will have some news to add.

Arrived back home before six on sunday. Considering the circumstances had a pretty good time. Saw a lot of people that I had not seen in years. We stayed at Americinn and on sunday night I spent a couple of hours in Ron's room visiting with Ron and Gary Ollendick with Suzanne and Sandy, Peggy, Phyliss, Helen, Barb, Judy and Bill.
One rumor I did hear is that there is a possible family reunion being planned for next year in the Cresco area. More info along with dates and location will come later.

I did hear the same rumor......Diane Ollendick was talking about it. She said in the next year or two, and everyone said we better not wait two years. So it was said next summer somewhere in Cresco and to have a prayer for Grandma and Grandpa Ollendick and and all the others. Suzanne walked up about the time it was being discussed and she asked what they were talking about, and the reply was a family reunion that will be held at your (meaning Ron and Susanne) place..
that's all I know about it also, so hopefully it will happen.

Thanks to everyone for attending my Grandma's funeral. It was touching to know that so many of you drove from so far. Grandma 'Butch' meant so much to us. I can only hope to be as loving and sacred as she was. What an inspiration. It was great to spend some time getting to know my extended family. I especially enjoyed meeting 'Sarge' and Ted's kids.
