Aunt Theresa

Theresa G. MoserTheresa G. Moser, 90, of Tomah, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at the Cranberry Court in Tomah. She was born May 10, 1919, to Ben and Elizabeth (Becker) Ollendick in Elgin, NE.She was united in marriage to August Moser Nov. 28, 1939, in Elgin, NE. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1985. They farmed on several different farms in Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota, before settling on the farm in Wisconsin.Mom enjoyed her family, relatives, neighbors and many friends. She lived and enjoyed the farm, milking cows, gardening and being Mom Moser or Grandma Moser to all who came to see her or needed her. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Indian Creek.She is survived by nine children: James (Mick) Moser of Wilson, Jerry Moser of Tomah, Paul (Sue) Moser of Tomah, Betty (Dave) Dewar of Wildwood, MO, Mary (Jody) Lovold of Annadale, MN, Judy (Gary) Moser-Dunn of Cleveland, MN, Jeanette (Tom) Ewing of Tomah, Susan (Gary) Schneller of Burnsville, MN, Connie (Alan) Frei of Cameron; 38 grandchildren, Pam (Eric) Dahlager, Mary Lou (Jeff) Breitenstein, Dawn (Ryan) Karstens, David (Kim) Murden, Donna (David) Cichy, Jane (David) Hayhoe, Scott (Kimberly) Dewar, Pat (Lori) Dewar, Chad (Sherry) Moser, Jamie Moser, Jeremy Moser, Shane Moser, Adam (Candy) Moser, Amanda Moser, Jason (Karen) Lovold, Autumn (Tim) Garrels, Travis (Lori) Moser, Derek Moser, Tania (Nick) Marsh, Amy (Joe) Pintarro, Robbie (Brenda) Moser, Marisa (Joe) McDaniels, Tessa (Chad) Klipstein, Erin Moser, Auggie Moser, Sun Marie Moser, Seallena Moser, Shelly (David) Baggot, Dan (Teri) Kane, Carrie Ewing, Kevin (Karen) Ewing, Mike Schneller, Sarah Schneller, Mindi (Bryan) Courtney. Megan (special friend Nick Scherreiks) Moser, Clayton Frei, Ilabeth Frei; 51 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Don Murden of North Branch, MN; two daughters-in-law, Daphne Moser of Rowland, NC, and Helena Moser of Tomah; three brothers, Ted (Hilda) Ollendick of Oakdale, Henry “Hank” Ollendick of Dubuque, IA, and Charles Ollendick of Iowa City, IA; three sisters, Francis Salber of Clarissa, MN, Dorothy Salber of Marathon and Bernadine (Dave) Sloan of Arizona; two special friends, Theresa and Darlene, and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband August; two sons, Larry and Robert; a daughter, Rose; a grandson, Matthew, and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Steidl Moser; two brothers, Fritz and Donald, and four sisters, Maria Hayes, Clary Dorn, Butch Smith, and Minnie Kavalage.A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held today (Thursday), Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 303 W. Monroe St., Tomah. Rev. John Ofori-Domah offciated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tomah.Relatives and friends called on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
