Ann's working vacation

I had a working vacation to Laughlin, Nevada! Elaine and I left Thursday, September 13 and came home today - Sunday, the 16th. We had a great time, except I'm to stingy to gamble much. I took $60 for gambling, lost 20 within the first 15 minutes of being there, so had to play it safe with the rest - lost 20 more the next day! Spent the next 10 on a pair of clearance pants (at least had something!) So, my last $10 went into a machine, when I had it up to $27, I cashed it out, then thought maybe I shouldn't have, so put in another 4 - gone!
So much for me being a big spender!! Anyway, it was work but had a nice time - all expenses paid and away from the office and home! Hot compared to home - 112 when we stepped off the plane in Laughlin, 68 when we stepped off in Rochester.

Ann, glad you had a good time, and sorry it took so long to get it published. For those of you that didn't know..........Ken and I spent the last week in Hawaii...will write about it in a day or so.
Sorry you are not a good gambler, and I would not be either, I probably would have taken 5 or 10 dollars to play with.

My friends went to Vegas last winter and they EACH took $1000 a piece for gambling, another $500 for spending. So you got off cheap!!

Glad to hear you had a great time even though you weren't much of a gambler. I usually take about $20-$50 and when that's gone, I'm done. However, most of the time I play the nickel slots and don't do too badly.

We as you know were there in April, but mostly for a wedding and not much gambling. We did walk down the strip and saw a lot of casinos. That's enough for me! Was sure glad to get back home although we did have a good time visiting with family.
